How to get around
S-Bahn lines 1 and 8 make sure that reaching Munich Airport by public transport is easy and convenient. You depart and arrive directly below the terminal.
When arriving in Munich take one of the Airport S-Bahn lines and get off at Station „Rosenheimer Platz“. After disembarking the train follow the signage to „Holiday Inn Munich City Center“ – within 3 minutes walk in the station you will reach the Hotel Lobby.
For your stay in Munich you will be provided with a 3 day ticket for the public transportation system covering the entire city.
Public Transportation in Munich is well-developed in a close-knit network of U-Bahn, S-Bahn and tram lines. Central transport hubs with numerous connection opportunities are located at Marienplatz, Karlsplatz (Stachus), the Hauptbahnhof and Sendlinger Tor, among other places. As the network in the centre is tailored to the historic old town, the latter can be reached effortlessly via different routes. Almost all of Munich’s major landmarks can be reached on foot from Marienplatz.
It is always good advice to take a little walk – you experience the city in an unique way and the next public transportation stop is never far.
